A couple of Nigerian footballers sealed both loan and permanent moves on transfer deadline day.

After failing to join AC Milan, the club he supported as a boy, Victor Boniface has now signed for Werder Bremen on a one-year loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface will use the international break to work on his fitness, as he has not been included in Eric Chelle’s 23-man squad for the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifiers games against Rwanda and South Africa.

The number of Nigerian players at Fulham has increased with the arrival of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan on loan.

Chukwueze will be playing alongside international team-mates Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi at Craven Cottage.

Wolves have confirmed the signing of Tolu Arokodare from Genk in a £24m deal.

The 24-year-old, who stands at 6ft 6in, has signed a four-year contract with an option for a further season.

Midfielder Christantus Uche has left Getafe to join Christantus Uche on a loan deal until the end of this season.

Uche is expected to take the spot of Eberechi Eze, who has left to Arsenal.
