Chuba Akpom has agreed a move to Ipswich Town after turning down Birmingham City.

Akpom was due to undergo medical at another Sky Bet Championship club, Birmingham City earlier this week.

Birmingham had sealed a deal with Ajax to sign the Nigerian-born striker on loan with a purchase option.

The 29-year-old, however, opted out of the move after a late swoop by Ipswich Town.

Akpom has already undergone medical with the Tractor Boys, and is expected to be unveiled this week.

Ipswich Town, and Birmingham City will clash in the opening fixture of the 2025/26 Championship season on Friday.
