Arsenal have officially signed Phoenix Blayney from Larne FC.

The Premier League champions disclosed this in a post on their website on Tuesday.

Blayney signed a pre-contract agreement with the Gunners, which will lead to him signing professional terms with the club.

The Northern Ireland Under-17 international will leave his home country for the first time in his career to join Arsenal following a successful trial period.

Despite being just 15 years old, the talented goalkeeper has already represented his country in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying campaign.

Blayney made five appearances as Northern Ireland advanced to the elite qualifying round.

“Everyone at Arsenal welcomes Phoenix to the club and looks forward to supporting him with his continued development,” Arsenal’s statement partly read.
