Fans of The Traitors are convinced that two contestants may be secret siblings.

Hidden connections have been a recurring theme throughout the show’s history, and viewers suspect that another one is yet to be uncovered on-screen.

In this series, we’ve already witnessed several surprising eliminations, including one that left Roxy frustrated during the round table.

Upon his arrival, it was revealed that he is also friends with Ellie, a connection that has not yet been shown on TV.

With significant attention on a family tree displayed in the castle study, it’s reasonable to anticipate more unexpected revelations as the show progresses.

In a fan forum on Reddit, one user speculated: “I believe Rachael and James might be siblings; they share similar facial features such as a prominent chin, large eyes, and a beaked nose.

“They are a few years apart in age. The only difference is their accents, but who’s to say those are authentic?”

Another commented: “If you put a wig on James, he would look just like Rachael.”

A third user added: “They do resemble each other, especially now that you bring it up.”

A challenge to this theory is Rachel’s Northern Irish accent compared to James’ English accent, but contestants have successfully adopted different accents in the past.

A former contestant shared his thoughts on the cast dynamics.

He stated to The Sun: “I believe everyone is paired in some way. It could be Latin or a language they’ve created among themselves, but I noticed some words at the top.

“For example, Ross and Netty seemed connected but not in a traditional sense. Is it possible that everyone has a similar connection? Did James attend university with Reece?

“I suspected that Rachel and Hugo might have worked together because their banter felt more intimate than usual at that moment. So, I think they might all be related or at least half of them are.”

Recently, Faithful Ross clarified his relationship with Netty in a TikTok video.

He explained: “Let’s set the record straight.

“Netty and I know each other through a mutual friend named Dan, who is a photographer. I’ll share his Instagram so you can connect with him.

“Dan used to attend the Bradford basketball tournament, which is how they met. I’ve seen Netty a few times while out and about in London.

“On another occasion, a year or so later, I was out with another friend who I won’t name here.”

He continued: “He mentioned, ‘I’ve seen that girl, I kind of like her,’ and I asked, ‘Which one?’ He pointed to Netty.

“I said, ‘Oh, I actually know her. Would you like me to introduce you?’”

Ross then approached Netty and mentioned that his friend was interested in her, but ultimately, it didn’t work out between them.

He wrapped up with: “And that’s the story, plain and simple!”

Regarding the unexpected reunion of the two, Executive Producer Mike Cotton remarked: “The connection between Ross and Netty was not planned at all. We cast them as individuals.

“We conduct thorough background checks on all participants. During this process, we discovered that they follow each other on social media.

“We were aware of this tenuous link but had no idea if they would recognize each other or how they would react.

“We didn’t want to exclude them just because they knew each other – it was fascinating to see how it impacted the game.”
