A MAN has tragically drowned after “disappearing beneath the water” while swimming at a popular UK beauty spot.

Police have confirmed that Wojciech Berlan, 27, has sadly passed after getting into difficulty at Ensor’s Pool in Nuneaton, Warwickshire earlier today.

Mr Berlan, from Redditch in Worcestershire, was found this afternoon after he failed to resurface from the water for five minutes, according to reports.

Police were soon called to the scene, along with other emergency services just before 12.30pm.

He was pulled from the water but confirmed dead at the scene at about 13:30, police said.

The force are continuing to investigate on behalf of the coroner.

Police have also confirmed that Mr Berlan’s next of kin have been informed.

They have urged anyone at the pool to come to them with any information.
