THIS is the moment a tourist sustained serious injuries after he fell nearly 40ft from a zipline when the ride’s safety lock snapped.
Kuber Surpur, 24, survived the fall but was left with broken arms and legs, as well as severe nerve damage.

The horrific incident unfolded at the Sterling River Resort in the town of Dandeli in southern India on July 3.
The footage shows Surpur gliding along the zipline before his safety lock suddenly snaps and he crashes to the ground within seconds.
His brother, Prashant, captured the terrifying fall on his phone.
Surpur was taken to Dandeli Government Hospital, but his injuries required specialist treatment so he was later moved to a hospital in Miraj for surgery.
Doctors told his family he will need further operations on his arms and legs as part of his recovery.
His family have accused the resort of failing to carry out the required safety checks before allowing the ride to operate.
Surpur’s family claimed the resort “initially provided concrete assurances that they would bear 100 per cent of Kuber’s medical expenses”, but have stopped answering their calls and are no longer addressing concerns over his mounting medical .
Insisting the tragedy “could easily have been avoided”, the family has demanded accountability from the resort, including the permanent suspension of its adventure sports licence and legal action against those responsible.

The video has since gone viral, prompting concerns over safety standards at adventure tourism attractions as many demanding stricter inspections of zipline operators.
One social media user wrote: “This is a horrible zipline design. The harness should keep him attached even if he lets go of the rope. How was something like this ever approved?”
Another added: “Let me guess. A small fine, a few weeks’ closure, and the resort will be back in business. No justice.”
have launched a criminal case against the operators of Sterling River Resort, alleging negligence that endangered visitors’ lives and safety.
The manager of Sterling River Resort confirmed the incident had taken place but denied any negligence.
Describing the incident as an unfortunate accident, the manager said he planned to travel to Vijayapura to meet Kuber’s family.
Earlier this month several families were left stranded in the sky after multiple gondolas crashed in a horrifying mid-air pile-up.

The gondolas had been travelling across the Volga river in when the cableway system unexpectedly broke down.
