THE stakes are high as London rivals Tottenham and West Ham collide this weekend, with both sides desperate for a morale-boosting win.

Tottenham vs West Ham preview

A nervy afternoon awaits at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as London rivals Spurs and West Ham clash in the Premier League on Saturday.

It’s a showdown between two struggling sides, with both Nuno Espirito Santo and Thomas Frank topping the “next manager to be sacked” market.

And it’s easy to see why.

Frank’s Spurs are winless in four games so far in 2026, suffered a meek FA Cup exit to Aston Villa, and have lost four of their last seven in all competitions.

They have won just four of their last 24 Premier League home matches (D6 L14), with an expected goals tally lower than any side outside the bottom three.

A defeat to West Ham- who they beat 3-0 earlier this season – could be the final straw, although that seems unlikely given the Hammers’ own struggles.

West Ham sit 18th with 14 points from 21 games, seven adrift of Nottingham Forest above them. They’ve won just three matches all season and have conceded more goals than any other Premier League team.

The visitors have also lost all six of their London derbies this season and won only one of their last eight league games against Spurs.

There is, however, a glimmer of hope for West Ham: Nuno Espirito Santo has won three of his five Premier League away games against Tottenham.

Odds are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.

Fit and firing

We’re backing Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke to score anytime at 6/4 with Betfair.

The 28-year-old returned to the matchday squad against Aston Villa in the FA Cup last weekend, having not featured for Spurs since the second week of the Premier League season.

He may come off the bench rather than start, but Solanke has scored in two of his last three appearances against West Ham and looks well-placed to find the net against the Premier League’s leakiest defence.

Goalscorer

We’re also backing Mickey van de Ven to get on the scoresheet at a tasty 7/1 in William Hill’s enhanced goalscorer market.

Why? Tottenham have scored 36.6% of their goals from set-pieces this season, while West Ham have conceded a league-high 11 headed goals in the Premier League. In fact, only Arsenal (9) have scored more headers than Spurs (8).

That sets up nicely for Van de Ven, who has taken more shots from set-pieces than any other player in Thomas Frank’s squad (11). He’s also second for non-penalty expected goals for Spurs, behind only Richarlison.
