It’s 17th vs 16th tonight and a home for Spurs would go a long way to ensuring they are safe from relegation.
Leeds make the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having already secured their top flight status for next season, with an excellent run of results over the last couple of months.
Spurs can move just three points behind them and, crucially, four clear of West Ham in 18th should they themselves claim another huge three points.
The Hammers thought they’d moved level on points with Spurs when notching with 90 seconds left yesterday, only for VAR to step in and controversially rule their equaliser out against Arsenal.
Despite rightfully putting a complaint in in writing, the situation for them doesn’t change and despite the Gunners taking a huge step towards the title, it was also good news for this Spurs team who can capitalise tonight.
Roberto De Zerbi’s men have narrowly won their last two games and picked up seven points from their last nine available to haul themselves outside the relegation zone.
But their Premier League home form is abysmal and they sit bottom of the table on points accrued at home with just ELEVEN from 17 games and haven’t won a home league game since December 6 – despite winning three Champions League ties on their own turf since then.
For Leeds, their only loss in the last nine games in all competitions came in the Wembley semi-final of the FA Cup.
Four wins and four draws – one of those ending in penalty shoot-out victory in the cup – represents an excellent run of form at the business end of the season which has guaranteed their safety and planning can begin for next season.
Although, a win tonight would see them climb up to 14th in the table and keep them in the hunt for a top-half finish!

High ambitions
A home game against a fellow bottom-half side is exactly what Spurs could be doing with to take a huge step to safety.
But it would be foolish to think on the back of two wins that this side can be trusted, particularly with it being at a poor Wolves side and second-string Aston Villa.
Leeds have shown terrific form on the road, losing 3-2 at Man City ay the end of November and their only other league defeat on the road since then coming via a 102nd minute winner for Harvey Barnes at St James’ Park.
