TOTTENHAM are set for an unexpected Premier League relegation scrap with Igor Tudor as interim manager.

SunSports understand Tudor, 47, has with Spurs until June.

The comes after the North Londoners on Wednesday, just hours after a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle which leaves the Prem giants just five points above the drop zone.

The Croatian tactician is set for his 10th managerial job after previously working for the likes of Hajduk Split, PAOK, Karabukspor, Galatasaray, Udinese, Hellas Verona, Marseille, Lazio and most recently .

Tudor only lasted a mere seven months at Juve, where he spent nine years as a player, after his .

The caretaker boss had mixed fortunes with the Bianconeri as he led them to fourth place and Champions League qualification last season but was sacked after an eight-match winless streak in autumn.

But throughout his time at Juventus – and most of his managerial career – Tudor has shown a preference for a 3-4-2-1 formation.

That is the same system former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim tried to impose at Old Trafford.

Amorim enjoyed tremendous success with that style throughout a glittering four-year-stint at Sporting Lisbon but it didn’t work out during an ill-fated 14-month spell at United.

Of course, Tudor is inheriting a massive injury list at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a staggering 11 players sidelined.

James Maddison (knee), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Mohammed Kudus (hamstring), Rodrigo Bentancur (hamstring), Richarlison (hamstring), Ben Davies (ankle), Lucas Bergvall (ankle), Pedro Porro (hamstring), Destiny Udogie (hamstring), Wilson Odobert (knee) and Kevin Danso (ligaments) are out.

However, most of the above – with the exception of Maddison who is out for the season – are expected to be back by spring.

With all that in mind, Tudor is expected to stick to his guns and thus place Guglielmo Vicario in goal with captain Cristian Romero – until March 5, Micky van de Ven and Danso at centre-back.

Porro could play at right wing-back with Djed Spence on the other side, while Joao Palhinha and Conor Gallagher may team up in midfield.

And Kudus as well as Kulusevski could play behind centre-forward Dominic Solanke.

Tudor, though, could also opt for a more natural 3-4-3 formation with three attackers up front next to Solanke.

That could see Kulusevski and Kudus making way for Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani.

With all the aforementioned injuries Tudor might have to try several different things.

And the Tottenham interim boss has experience with Kolo Muani as they worked together at Juventus last season.

Of course a 4-3-3 formation could also come into play, but it’s more likely to take place during rather at the start of a match depending on how the dynamics can change.

That could see Porro and Spence moving to full-back with Kulusevski joining Gallagher and Palhinha in midfield.
