are a leading contender for his signature although it is understood nothing is finalised at this stage and there is interest in the Argentine from elsewhere.
Left-footed Senesi joined from Feyenoord in 2022 for £10.5million and is set for his 100th Premier League start for the club at Newcastle this weekend.
Spurs are in the boxseat to sign legend Robertson, 32, for nothing this summer if they remain in the Prem.
This summer is expected to be one of significant squad change at Tottenham – whether they stay up or not.
Centre-back is one position that could be impacted significantly.
There are question marks over the future of captain Cristian Romero , Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin even if the North Londoners stay in the top flight.
Romero, who is with a knee injury, is of interest to Atletico Madrid.
His father Victor claimed the skipper had a release clause of between £38m-53m in his contract.
Romero and Van de Ven’s poor performances have come under fire from former Spurs centre-back Toby Alderweireld.
The pair have had disappointing campaigns that have contributed to Tottenham being in 18th place, two points from safety.
Both have been sent off in vital matches and have been found wanting defensively.
Romero has also taken potshots at the club’s hierarchy on social media.
Recently-retired Alderweireld, 37, formed what many consider the best centre-back partnership in Spurs’ Premier League era with compatriot Jan Vertonghen.
Alderweireld told ESPN NL: “I look at Romero, I look at Van de Ven… They just aren’t reaching their level. Again, not for a period, but actually for an entire season.
“Then I also look at Romero who gets red cards too often, doesn’t make the right decisions and therefore lets his team down.”
