The 21-year-old, a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and the son of distinguished attorney Lee Janiczek, was arraigned on Saturday and is being held without bail, according to authorities.
The incident occurred on October 24 when a sergeant attempted to stop Janiczek’s white Mercedes in Plymouth Township.
Authorities report that the young man sped away, crossing a concrete divider and driving erratically at high speeds.
Officers later located the G-Wagon near the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel.
Instead of yielding, Janiczek allegedly rammed a patrol car multiple times and then accelerated directly toward an officer who had exited his vehicle to intervene.
The officer discharged his weapon, but Janiczek — who is 6’2” tall — struck him, knocking him to the ground.
As the injured officer attempted to apply a tourniquet to his leg, police allege that the Mercedes circled back and hit him three additional times before fleeing the scene again.
Shortly thereafter, Janiczek reportedly collided head-on with another patrol car, injuring a second officer.
Both officers were quickly transported to the hospital.
The first officer underwent emergency surgery, and both are now reported to be in stable condition.
Janiczek was eventually captured and taken into custody — where he appeared bleary-eyed yet smiling in his booking photograph.
The suspect resides with his parents in a $1.4 million mansion in Ambler.
His father, Lee Janiczek, a partner at Lewis Brisbois LLC — a firm that represents corporate and insurance clients — declined to comment when approached by the Daily Mail.
Janiczek is a member of Loyola Marymount’s rowing team and previously captained the crew team at La Salle College High School.
However, despite his seemingly clean-cut image as a student-athlete, he allegedly has accumulated 11 criminal charges since 2023, nearly all related to reckless driving.
Nine of these charges were filed since June 2025 alone, stemming from three separate traffic stops.
This latest incident represents his most serious encounter with law enforcement.
Janiczek was denied bail by Magisterial District Judge Thomas P. Murt and is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on November 4.
