“Dad was 88 years old. After a long and fulfilling life both on and off the screen and stage, Tony leaves behind a daughter, three sons, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
“He will be greatly missed by all.”
The family further stated: “We want to extend our gratitude to the NHS staff at Eastbourne District General Hospital for their exceptional care during his final hours, as well as to everyone at Eastbourne Gardens nursing home for the kindness and compassion they provided to Dad over the past two months.”
