AN EIGHT-year-old boy has been killed by a dumpster truck while crossing the road – with the driver now facing a homicide probe.
The child was following closely behind his sister on a bicycle when the huge vehicle struck in Starnberg, Germany, on Tuesday.

Cops said the child was crossing Hanfelder Street when a truck turning in from Münchner street hit him.
The boy was run over by both sets of the truck’s wheels in the horror crash which unfolded at around 10:30am local time.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and tried to resuscitate the child.
He was taken to hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries, according to local police.
The driver, 56, is now under investigation on suspicion of negligent homicide.
The local prosecutor said a probe has been launched to help understand the full circumstances of the collision.
Carnival celebrations were set to take place on Tuesday in Starnberg.
But the town has cancelled festivities following the heartbreaking ordeal.
It comes after at least – with the youngest victim being just seven years old.
Police arrested a BMW driver following the horrifying collision in September which left two children hospitalised.
The car reportedly smashed into the group while making a turn at the corner of Dohnagestell, on Seestraße.
A spokesperson for the Berlin fire brigade confirmed the car drove into a group children walking with their teachers.
