Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has addressed a revelation from the Anonymous Group indicating that he has been targeted for assassination by Islamic terrorists and bandits within a week due to his insistence that Christians are being killed in Plateau State.

Dachomo, who serves as the regional chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi LGA of the state, has emerged as one of the most outspoken clergymen in Nigeria.

He has steadfastly refused to shy away from revealing the truth about the genocide faced by Christians in the state and across Nigeria, despite the federal government's denials. In contrast, many other religious leaders have remained silent or neutral on the matter.

Due to his vocal stance and the release of videos documenting killings and mass burials, there are growing concerns for his safety, as extremists and terrorists are reportedly unhappy with him for bringing their actions to light.

They have even held him responsible for the threats of military intervention by former US President Donald Trump and for Nigeria's designation as a "Country of Particular Concern" (CPC) regarding the alleged persecution of Christians.

The Anonymous Group, a decentralized international online collective known for its "hacktivism," which includes cyber attacks and online protests against governments, posted on its Facebook page on Friday, raising alarms about Rev. Dachomo being marked for elimination.

In their post, the Group stated:

“Photos of Pastor Dachomo Bwede Ezekiel, a man of God, have been circulated among Islamic terrorists and bandits in the country.

“They have issued orders for his assassination within the next seven days, believing he is responsible for Trump’s intervention.

“The militants are enraged that their livelihoods and lives are now at risk due to this man. The instructions are ‘Kill him and cut his head off’.

“Please circulate this message and ensure it reaches Pastor Ezekiel and his family. This is an emergency. Share this with all your friends and relatives in these areas! This must not happen! This is another bloodbath! People will be burned and brutally slaughtered! This cannot happen! Do everything in your power to thwart this plan! We implore you!!”

However, the courageous Rev. Dachomo has responded to the threats against his life by stating that he is unafraid of death as long as he stands for the truth.

In a video message shared on his Facebook page, the passionate man of God declared that he has already dedicated his life to Jesus Christ, asserting that to die in His service is a great gain.

“I have already sold my soul to Jesus Christ; to die is gain and to live is to speak the truth. I welcome death with open arms, but if it is God's will for me to survive, I will continue to proclaim the truth. We love the Muslims and care for them,” he stated.

This is not the first instance in which Rev. Dachomo has faced death threats, and he has repeatedly asserted that he is not afraid of dying.

In an earlier message on his page, he noted:

“They have been threatening me everywhere, even on social media. They even threatened to kill me during mass burials. They did the same to Senator Gyang Dantong; he was killed during a burial. They have vowed to kill me. Even the Nigerian Army issued a press release against me, accusing me of inciting people. But they are the ones inciting the Muslims against us by refusing to make arrests.”

In another statement, the outspoken Rev. Dachomo mentioned that he has received numerous death threats through phone calls and messages, yet he emphasized that he is not afraid of death and will persist in speaking truth to power and defending his community.
