Published on May 25, 2025 at 08:25 AM

A Minna Senior Magistrate Court Six has ordered the remand of three individuals accused of attempted culpable homicide.

They include Malik Abdullahi, Zakariya Abdullahi, and Suleiman Isyaku, all from Tamaworo Village in Lavun Local Government Area.

The trio were arraigned on five counts, including criminal conspiracy, trespass, extortion, attempted culpable homicide, and mischief.

According to the police First Information Report, the defendants and 18 others allegedly attacked farmers on Abubakar Andrew’s farm in Ladazo area of Nku village, causing injuries to two individuals, Ibrahim Olaniya and Emmanuel Silas Jiya.

The attack also resulted in the destruction of six motorcycles valued at N1,361,000, 16 mobile phones, and cash amounting to N398,000.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges, but the court remanded them in a Correctional Custody after the police prosecutor cited one of the charges as not ordinarily bailable.

The Presiding Senior Magistrate, Hajiya Halima Balaraba Yusuf, adjourned the case to June 27, 2025, for mention.
