Thibaut Courtois reveals club he wants to retire

Real Madrid first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has declared he wants to retire at the club.

Courtois’ current deal with Real Madrid will end in 2026 and talks over his renewal are ongoing.

Providing an update on his contract situation with the Los Blancos , the Belgian said (via Madrid Xtra): “My renewal? Talks are ongoing.

“I want to stay at Real Madrid for as long as possible. My dream is to retire at Real Madrid.”

Courtois joined Real Madrid from Premier League side Chelsea in 2018.

The 33-year-old has won several trophies with the Spanish LaLiga giants, including the UEFA Champions League and the LaLiga titles.

Courtois has also played for Genk and Atletico Madrid during the early stage of his career in the past.
