Published on July 03, 2025 at 11:55 AM

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, has inspected the Academic Publishing Centre of the Modibbo Adama University, MAU, Yola.

The Technical Advisory Group from TETFund carried out the inspection, indicating that the exercise is in pursuance of TETFund’s plan to develop academic publishing in universities across the country.

The TETFund team, including Professor Babagana Mohammed and Professor Danjuma Gambo, said they visited MAU Yola to evaluate the viability of its Academic Publishing Centre, APC, in continuation of such inspection carried out already in some other universities.

They said the outcomes will guide TETFund’s strategic decisions on reactivating and supporting APCs across the country to strengthen academic publishing in tertiary institutions.

The team was received by MAU’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Aliyu Mustafa, who commended TETFund for its efforts to revitalize APCs across Nigeria.

The Registrar of MAU, Alhaji Mustafa Migawa, and other senior officials were among the officials of MAU who received the TETFund team.
