Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has identified the areas his team needs to improve after their pre-season 2-0 friendly defeat to Real Madrid.
Ten Hag also singled out the likes of Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho for missing a one-on-one-situation.
According to the Dutchman, the Red Devils need to improve on their pressing and scoring goals.
Two goals from Jude Bellingham and Joselu ensured Real Madrid defeated Man United at the NRG Stadium in the early hours of Thursday.
Man United had chances of their own but failed to score with any of their 14 attempts during the encounter.
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag said as quoted by Sky Sports: “There were two things – pressing can be better from the start, and scoring goals.
“I think we need more players who are capable of being in one-on-ones and we had the situations of one-on-ones.
“It was Rashford, it was, I thought, Scott McTominay in one-on-one situations. Garnacho, a one-on-one situation. From these situations, you have to score.”
