A TEENAGE boy and a man his 20s have been arrested in connection with the viral “school wars” trend which urged children to be violent.

The posts pitted pupils from rival schools against each other and told and be ready for “war”.

The Metropolitan Police arrested the boy, 15, and the man on Sunday on suspicion of encouraging or assisting in a crime, they have both been released on bail.

Posts rapidly appeared across several platforms dividing schools into red and blue inspired by the notorious Bloods and Crips gangs.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A strong police presence remains around schools, particularly at the end of the school day.”

They contained: “Local officers continue to work alongside local authority partners, school leaders and parents, whose joint robust response has been vital in across the last week.”
