A TEENAGE girl was sexually assaulted while she was waiting at a bus stop with a man in his 30s arrested by cops.
The victim was approached by a man while she was stood at a bus stop in Longdowns near Penryn, Cornwall, said police.
The man made lewd comments towards the girl, before sexually assaulting her, according to Devon and Cornwall police.
She managed to escape before the man then approached two other young people in the area.
The man then made inappropriate comments to one girl and put his arm around her, said the force.
A man in his 30s from the Penryn area has now been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and a breach of a criminal behaviour order.
He has since been released on police bail, said the force.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault near Penryn.
“Officers were notified following the incident which took place at the bus stop in Longdowns between 8am and 8.30am on Thursday 3 April.
“It was reported a teenage girl was waiting at the bus stop when she was approached by a male suspect.
“The suspect made lewd comments before sexually assaulting the victim.”;
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time who witnessed the incident.
