The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a scheduled maintenance exercise lasting 10 days at its transmission substation in Gombe State.
TCN made this announcement through a statement from its spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, on Tuesday.
The federal government indicated that the maintenance will occur from October 14 to 24, 2025, each day from 9 am to 4 pm.
However, it clarified that this maintenance will not disrupt the bulk electricity supply to the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC).
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) would like to inform the public that its maintenance team will conduct scheduled preventive maintenance at the Gombe 132/33 kV Transmission Substation from October 14 to 24, 2025, between 9 am and 4 pm daily.
“This maintenance is necessary for our engineers to work on Shongo 33kV Feeder 8 and replace the existing protection and control panels with new ones.
“Please be assured that there will be no load loss on the Shongo 33 kV feeder, as the load will be redirected to the Darazo 33 kV feeder, while the load on the Mallam Sidi feeder will be shifted to the Doma 33 kV feeder 6.
“Consequently, there will be no interruption in bulk power supply to Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) throughout the maintenance period,” TCN stated.
