Tanzanian govt didn’t sponsor my daughter’s wedding, Nigerians did – Iyabo Ojo blasts Kimambi

Published on June 08, 2025 at 04:58 PM

Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has denied rumours that the Tanzanian government financed her daughter, Priscilla Ojo’s wedding.

This comes after Mange Kimambi, a Tanzanian media personality, warned Priscilla to stop posting loved up pictures and videos on the internet until after Tanzania’s forthcoming elections.

Reacting in a lengthy post on Instagram, Iyabo Ojo described Kimambi warning as an attempt to intimidate Priscilla and her husband, singer Juma Jux.

While warning her to stay out of Priscilla’s affairs, the actress stated “I don’t joke with my daughter”;.

Also addressing the viral rumours that Priscilla’s wedding was funded by Tanzanian government, Ojo described the speculation as false, stating that Nigerians funded the elaborate wedding.

“@mangekimambi80 I am appalled by your audacity! Calling my daughter and her husband’s content stupid. You trying to drum fear & intimidation is unacceptable. Keep her out of your affairs. My daughter will post what she likes.

“Regarding the wedding rumours, it is not your government that gave us the money. It is a tradition in my family. I want an elaborate wedding for my daughter in Nigeria, and we, the Nigerians, gave her one”;, she said.
