Authorities initiated an urgent search for the suspect after being alerted to the incident in Croydon Park, Sydney, around 7:30 PM on Sunday.

The assailant, who was observed on the roof of a restaurant, reportedly discharged four shots onto the street.
A man in his 50s was swiftly transported to Canterbury Hospital, where he received treatment for a gunshot wound, according to NewsWire.

NSW Police stated in a release: “A police operation is currently underway at Croydon Park following the discharge of shots.
“The area has been secured with Georges River Road closed between Croydon Avenue and Seymor Street, and Brighton Avenue closed between Georges River Road and Queensborough Road.
“Specialized resources are responding, and the public is urged to remain indoors, while motorists are advised to avoid the area.
“Further information will be provided as it becomes available.”
