And there is expected to be even more fireworks this time around with a whole host of celebrities set to take the stage.

This includes a controversial, global superstar who is an outspoken critic of United States President Donald Trump.

Who is performing at the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show?

Bad Bunny – real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio – will perform at the Super Bowl 60 halftime show.

The Grammy Award-winning artist has become an international superstar over the past decade and has been Spotify’s most-streamed artist four times since 2020.

In addition to that, Bad Bunny has made a notable crossover appearance in Happy Gilmore 2 and WWE.

And this won’t be the Puerto Rican’s first rodeo as he featured during the Super Bowl halftime show with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez six years ago.

However, the NFL’s decision to pick Bad Bunny has been labelled controversial and even led to President Trump commenting on the matter.

What did Donald Trump say?

President Trump called Bad Bunny’s inclusion “absolutely ridiculous” last October.

“I never heard of him,” Trump told Newsmax when asked about Bad Bunny’s selection, via The Daily Mail .

“I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they’re doing it, it’s like, crazy.

“I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”

Last weekend, Bad Bunny fronted Saturday Night Live and took a shot at his critics.

“I am very excited to be doing the Super Bowl and I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy,” he said.

“Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors,” he added, switching to Spanish.

“It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us.

“Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.”
