“Sunny” Cast To Reunite After 14 Years In New Travel Variety Show

The stars of the hit 2011 film “Sunny”; are reuniting for an upcoming MBC variety show!

On June 13, JTBC Entertainment News reported that MBC is currently preparing to air a new variety show titled “I’m Sunny Thank You”; (literal title) in the second half of this year, with the cast of “Sunny”; at its center.

In response to the report, an MBC representative confirmed, “’I’m Sunny Thank You,’ a new variety show featuring the cast of ‘Sunny,’ is scheduled to premiere this summer.”;

The source added, “Some of the cast filmed overseas in April as part of the show. Although certain members were unable to join the filming due to personal reasons, they will still be part of the program in various ways.”;

Describing the concept, the representative shared, “While ‘I’m Sunny Thank You’ is a travel variety show at its core, it has unique elements. It will feel like a reunion of best friends who come together after a while to create new memories through various activities. The cast has maintained their friendship even 14 years after the film’s release. We hope viewers look forward to the heartwarming stories that will unfold as they reunite on screen.”;

The representative also noted, “More details about ‘I’m Sunny Thank You’ will be officially announced early next week.”;

Starring Shim Eun Kyung, Kang Sora, Kim Min Young, Kim Bo Mi, Park Jin Joo, Nam Bo Ra, and Min Hyo Rin, “Sunny”; tells the story of seven women who shared unforgettable memories in high school and reunite 25 years later.
