Netflix’s upcoming film “Good News”; has been invited to screen at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival!
“Good News”; is a film set in 1970 and depicts the suspicious operation of people gathered to land a hijacked plane by any means necessary.
Directed by Byun Sung Hyun, who captivated global audiences with his Netflix film “Kill Boksoon,”; “Good News”; is already drawing attention for its powerful cast, including Sul Kyung Gu , Hong Kyung , and Ryoo Seung Bum . The film will delve into the intricate mind games, conflicts, and constantly shifting relationships among those involved in the secret operation surrounding the hijacking incident.
“Good News”;will have its world premiere in the Special Presentations section at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 4 to 14. This section spotlights highly anticipated films from around the world, showcasing outstanding works across diverse genres. Notable Korean films previously featured in this section include “ I, the Executioner ,”; “Decision to Leave,”; “The Age of Shadows,”; and “The Handmaiden.”;
Cameron Bailey, CEO of the Toronto International Film Festival, shared why“Good News”; was invited, “It is a film that exemplifies the festival’s 50-year philosophy of innovation, authenticity, and a global perspective,”; further raising anticipation for its premiere.
“Good News”; will be released on Netflix.
