Netflix’s upcoming film “Good News”; has been invited to screen at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival!
“Good News”; is a film set in 1970 and depicts the suspicious operation of people gathered to land a hijacked plane by any means necessary.
Directed by Byun Sung Hyun, who captivated global audiences with his Netflix film “Kill Boksoon,”; “Good News”; is already drawing attention for its powerful cast, including Sul Kyung Gu, Hong Kyung, and Ryoo Seung Bum. The film will delve into the intricate mind games, conflicts, and constantly shifting relationships among those involved in the secret operation surrounding the hijacking incident.
“Good News”;will have its world premiere in the Special Presentations section at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 4 to 14. This section spotlights highly anticipated films from around the world, showcasing outstanding works across diverse genres. Notable Korean films previously featured in this section include “I, the Executioner,”; “Decision to Leave,”; “The Age of Shadows,”; and “The Handmaiden.”;
Cameron Bailey, CEO of the Toronto International Film Festival, shared why“Good News”; was invited, “It is a film that exemplifies the festival’s 50-year philosophy of innovation, authenticity, and a global perspective,”; further raising anticipation for its premiere.
“Good News”; will be released on Netflix.
