Strictly star reveals BBC bosses WILL get Dani Dyer back on the show after she quits with nasty injury

A STRICTLY star has revealed bosses will get Dani Dyer back on the show after she quit following a nasty injury.

The TV personality, 29, fractured her ankle after “landing funny” during rehearsals on Friday, and announced last night that she was forced to pull out of the competition on doctor’s orders – leaving fans disappointed.

But Strictly’s has offered some relief to fans who were excited to see the winner put on her dancing shoes. – revealing bosses are already pinning her up for a return to show.

The former Strictly pro has returned to the show as a regular choreographer, The Sun previously revealed, after making a comeback following a stint on .

And in a video posted on her , Oti expressed her sympathy for Dani following the nasty injury that ruled her out of this year’s competition, and wished her a speedy recovery.

The caption read: “Really upsetting about [Dani Dyer] wish her a speedy recovery [heart and sad emoji] fingers crossed gets another great partner x”.

But when a fan commented: “They have to invite Dani back year!”, Oti seemed to add fuel to the fire in her response, suggesting bosses many have her on their radar for next year’s show.

Oti wrote: “I’m sure they will”, in news that will excite viewers of the show who were eager to see the newly-married star and mum-of-three in the ballroom.

It comes as Dani posted a statement last night to announce she was pulling out of the show, following a fractured ankle she sustained during rehearsals.

In the statement, she said: “I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny.

“I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.”

Dani continued: “Apparently doing the Quickstep on a fracture is not advisable and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I’ve had to pull out of the show.

“To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement.

“I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.”

In an Instagram video she addressed her exit and also shared plans to quit social media in order to process the news.

Holding back tears, an emotional Dani said: “Hi guys, I’m going to try and do this without crying.

“I am so heartbroken, I have not felt like this in…”

Dani then paused to compose herself amid tears as she held her hand to her mouth.

The reality star then continued: “… in such a long time.

“I was having the best time ever.

“It’s just a very devastating, annoying kind of thing that I’m going through right now.”

Dani continued: “I am probably just going to have a few days off my socials just to process things.

“But I just wanna thank you all for all of your love and support.

“But yeah, I am gutted, I am absolutely gutted.

“I love everyone at Strictly, I am going to miss them so much but yeah I obviously will eventually come along and cheer them all on.

“But I just want to thank you for all of the love.”

The TV star was set to perform at the first live show on Saturday and had been preparing to take to the dancefloor.

Just days ago Dani shared her nerves ahead of the live shows.

She said last week: “I’m absolutely petrified about dancing live on Saturday nights.”

Speaking to The Sun , she was asked if her famous dad Danny Dyer was going to watch – and if he would get emotional.

The mum-of-three revealed: “He’s going to. He will try and keep it together. Him and my mum are making a little date day of it.

“They’re coming on the launch show together. They’re really excited.”

Asked whether she could persuade The Factory star to do Strictly in the , she said: “When it [Strictly] was announced, someone said is doing it – they thought it was my dad. It’s not – it’s the other one.

“I don’t know. You can never say never.”
