Strictly Faces New Controversy as Star Shines in National Ballroom and Latin Competitions

STRICTLY is set for new fix row as a show star competes in ballroom and Latin competitions at a national level.

Graeme Hall was unveiled as the Beeb’s latest signing and will be joining the other hopefuls showing off their moves when the show returns to screens this autumn.

However, he appears to have actually judged ballroom and latin competitions with Ex-Strictly dancing pro Flavia Cacace who appeared on the show for seven series from 2006.

Last year, Flavia shared a snap of them dancing together on her and captioned it: “Great being on the judging panel last night and meeting @dogfather.graeme We both share a love of dogs & dancing.”

Graeme is also friends with Shirley as he posted a snap of them a few years ago and captioned it: “Shall we dance @shirleyballas.

“So lovely to meet you and ‘quick’ promenade down the corridors of television centre…?

“Don’t mind if I do… You made my day!”

The snap showed them striking a pose as fans rushed to comment and one wrote: “Oh yes. Graeme for Strictly in 2024. Recall you did in Northampton.”

Another added: “Deffo next years Strictly, would love to see him dance xx.”

While a third said: “You should definitely be on ‘Strictly’ next year! Though I imagine you will have to wear a dog costume for one of the dances!”

Graeme is the 11th star to be revealed as taking to the dancefloor for the 2026 series.

He is known as The Dogfather and fronts Channel 5 show Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly.

Announcing the news online, the official Strictly Instagram shared a post which read: “Who’s ready to fetch the Glitterball? Good boy, @dogfather.graeme, welcome to #Strictly!“

The latest signing comes after footie ace Shaun Wright-Phillips was previously announced as the latest Strictly star.

The line-up also sees two Love Islanders taking part this year with series four winner Dani Dyer and series 12’s champ Cach Mercer also in the show.

host Will Best is another star in the mix alongside EastEnders legend Lacey Turner , Brit movie star Jaime Winstone , and Aussie pop star Delta Goodrem .

Rounding out the line-up is actress Bethany Antonia , Paralympian Sarah Storey and Kim Kardashian’s hairdresser Chris Appleton .

Previously, The Sun exclusively revealed that newly single X Factor hunk Jake Quickenden is also in talks with Strictly bosses – though the BBC is yet to officially announce him as a contestant.
