STRICTLY Come Dancing is in a fresh fix row as nine celebrities have been revealed to have past dance experience.

The Sun has , with star John Nellis rounding out the list of famous faces hoping to excel in the ballroom.

But ahead of the first live show in September, we can reveal that nine out of the 15 celebrities have previous dance or performing arts experience.

It means that 60 per cent of the celebrity line-up will have an advantage when they star on the show next month.

star Cach Mercer is a professional dancer with a specialism in hip-hop and Afrobeats styles.

Meanwhile star Lacey Turner trained for a year at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School when she was a child.

And actor Lawrence Robb, who plays Mackenzie Boyd on the soap, was a former pupil at The Dance School of .

In a video shared to Facebook, Lawrence opened up about his dance experience during his two years at the school.

“I studied at Knightswood incorporating the Dance School of Scotland along with the musical theatre course back in 2007 and left in 2009,” he said.

“I then went on to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and since then have done a few things in the West End.”

Reality star , who is married to footballer , previously boasted in her 2019 autobiography about being a “qualified dancer”.

Dani wrote about how she attended O’Farrell’s Stage School in East London on weekends from the age of two to 14.

Actress Jaime Winstone studied for a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Harlow College, Essex.

The course specialises in acting, dancing, musical theatre and production skills.

House of Dragon star Bethany Antonia attended BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy in Birmingham where she studied musical theatre until 2016.

Aussie singer Delta Goodrem also took singing, dancing and acting lessons as a child.

She is also seen on YouTube in 2016 showing off her dance moves in a studio with Australian and TV presenter Renee Bargh.

It comes as Gwen actress Melanie Walters starred as the Fairy Godmother in the pantomime Cinderella at the Bournemouth Pavilion over the festive period last year.

And dog trainer Graeme Hall appeared in a dance competition named ‘Strictly Northampton’ in 2012.

An insider said: “There is no rule that celebrities cannot have dance experience before taking part and it would be near impossible to find a cast of celebrities who have no previous dance experience as many people in the entertainment industry go to stage school.”

These nine stars will be joined by John, ‘s hairstylist Chris Appleton, host , Dame Sarah Storey, former footballer Shaun Wright Phillips and star Tabby Stoecker.

The new series kicks off on and next month with three new hosts and five new professional dancers.
