Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has called upon security agencies to pursue the roaming bandits who have been terrorizing communities in Tsanyawa and Shanono Local Government Areas of Kano State.

In response to a bandit attack in Yankamaye village, Tsanyawa LGA, on Saturday night, Senator Barau urged security forces to enhance their efforts and confront the criminals, who are reportedly coming from neighboring states.

The Deputy Senate President, in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, emphasized that the intrusions by these criminal elements into the two Local Government Areas must cease immediately.

“I have received the alarming report of the murder of a woman and the abduction of three individuals in Yankamaye village, Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State, by roaming bandits from neighboring states on Saturday night, when the villagers had gone to bed.

“This incident occurred just a few days after a similar attack in Biresawa village, also within Tsanyawa Local Government Area.

“Therefore, I urge our security agencies, who have previously engaged these criminals in the area, to intensify their efforts to rescue these innocent individuals and confront the perpetrators. They must take the fight to them.

“We will not permit these marauding criminals, fleeing from neighboring states due to military operations, to disrupt our communities.
