He made the decision after a shocking between Fiona and Rachel Duffy the night before.

And in scenes which aired on Friday night, Isle of White native Stephen switched on his fellow traitor – and found the decision rather overwhelming.

Beginning his argument, he told the group: “So, one of the things over the last few days that I’ve been realising with the Faithful’s going, right, is that I’ve been kind of voting for people that I think are displaying weird behaviours to me. right?

“And what I’ve realised is. actually that I can’t work like that, because that’s not how to spot a Traitor.

“But there has been a couple of instances where people have said, ‘Fiona has said this or floated this idea,’ and either people are setting you up or there’s misinformation being spread.”

Stephen went on to dub the bubbly local government advisor as “one of the closet people to me in here”, before breaking down as he described the backstabber-y as “really difficult”.

Fiona, 62, interrupted, telling him “No, don’t do that”, as the brutal round table continued.

Stephen, a Traitor himself, questioned whether he’d “got it all wrong”, as he continued to single out the native.

Sensing his emotion, Fiona interjected: “Please don’t get upset, I’m here because I want to validate myself. I am a Faithful.

“If you feel you want to write my name down, please do it.”

Stephen and Fiona’s exchange came just moments before Claudia told hopefuls around the table to cast their vote.

With theirs being the last interaction before the vote, Stephen’s betrayal may have been the factor that sealed Fiona’s fate.

Nine players voted for her to be banished — including Rachel and Stephen, who sobbed throughout.

But her demise came after her shocking Traitor-on-Traitor clash with Rachel, which left Thursday night’s 7.9million viewers in disbelief.

that she had previously been a senior detective in the Metropolitan Police.

The Welsh pocket rocket later called Rachel out for being a Traitor, which left her cast mates baffled.

Fiona attempted to defend herself, telling others she’s “not a liar”, but Rachel, who was quick to rebuff her claims, declared: “Fiona, when you tell a lie, you are a liar”.

Following her departure from the show, but conceded she was “the master of my own downfall”.

But she added that there “wasn’t a moment in the castle playing this game where I wasn’t on cloud nine”, and revealed she’d gone “global in Swansea”, following the brilliant reaction from fans of the programme.

And she proved there’s no hard feelings towards her fellow Traitors despite the backstabbing.

“I would love for Stephen and Rachel to be a part of the final”, Fiona revealed, describing Rachel as “absolutely amazing”.
