STEFANOS TSITSIPAS has hit a new career low – after being trolled by a US Open security guard.

The former world No3 reached two Grand Slam finals at the height of his pomp.

Now, though, he is languishing down at 53rd in the rankings.

And he faces a tough after being drawn against in-form Arthur Fils.

But even before that tricky opening test, the has been on the receiving end of a savage put-down by a member of security on site.

, 28, took to X on Saturday with a bizarre transcript of a conversation he had in New York.

He posted: “Security guard at the checked my credentials three times.

“Guard: ‘Tsitsipas, huh?’

“Me: ‘Yes sir.’

“Guard: ‘My wife loves your quotes.’

The dig was a reference to Tsitsipas’ frequent and bizarre inspirational quote posts on X to his 469,000 followers.

Recent examples include “eating cereal at night hits different”, “calm is contagious” and “remember biting into a fruit and finding seeds? Now it’s all seedless. Are we sacrificing natural quality for convenience?”

And fans responded in the comments with replies to the security guard tale.
