POLICE are investigating a suspected murder-suicide amid claims a husband killed his wife before taking his own life.
The bodies of Jim Mair, 43, and his wife Stacy, 36, were found on Corsliehill Road, on the outskirts of Houston, Renfrewshire, on Monday.

Cops locked down a detached cottage on a rural single-track lane as a major probe got underway.
Sources claim a firearm was also found at the country home.
More than a dozen police vehicles flooded the scene on Tuesday.
Uniformed officers stood guard outside a rundown outhouse next to a small trailer.
The secluded country lane was sealed off at both ends, with one tape cordon halfway up Corsliehill Road.
Another squad car sat guarding the bottom of the street at the junction with Barochan Road.
Officers were alerted to a concern for a person in Corsliehill Road around 7.50am on Monday.
Mercy crews raced to the scene but Mrs Mair and her husband, who wedded in May 2019, were found dead.

The mum, originally from Falkland, Fife, and Mr Mair ran a tree removal business together.
Cops have been treating the couple’s deaths as “unexplained” and post-mortem examinations will be carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An investigation is ongoing into the deaths of a 36-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man in the Houston area.
“Around 7.50am on Monday, 27 July, 2026, we received a report of concern for a person in Corsliehill Road.
“Emergency services attended, and the body of a man and a woman were found nearby.
“The deaths are being treated as unexplained and post-mortem examinations will be carried out in due course.
“Extensive enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances. At this time, there is nothing to suggest anyone else has been involved.
“Their relatives are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.”
