In the North-East corner of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, next to the away supporters, Spurs display a rainbow flag to show their support for the community.
Slavia requested that the flag be moved for security reasons.
The club initially sought to maintain its original position but ultimately agreed to relocate it due to potential safety concerns.
The flag will now be displayed in the south-west corner of the stadium instead.
A spokesperson for Tottenham stated: “The flag has been relocated at the request of the visiting team to UEFA on security grounds.”
This is not the first instance of such a request occurring during European matches at Spurs.
In a previous instance, a similar situation arose.
In a statement directed at fans, Spurs’ LGBTQ+ fan group, Proud Lilywhites, expressed their frustration: “We are understandably upset.
“You shouldn't come to our home and dictate what is acceptable, especially regarding a flag that symbolizes our own community. Yet, here we are.
“We want to ensure you understand that this is a request from the opposing team and does not reflect the club’s commitment to the Proud Lilywhites.”
A spokesperson for Slavia commented: “The flag featuring Tottenham symbols would have been positioned directly in the section designated for our fans at that time.
“For this reason, it was temporarily moved to another location within the stadium, in agreement with the home club.
“This is a logical measure taken out of respect for the area reserved for visiting fans, just as Slavia supporters outside the visiting section adhere to the rules of not displaying our club colors or symbols.”
Thomas Frank has addressed the upcoming match against Slavia.
Mathys Tel has taken the place of Dominic Solanke, who is still not fully fit.
If Spurs win against Slavia, they will secure 11 points, placing them in an excellent position to qualify for February’s playoff round in the tournament.
