ANNABEL Scholey has recalled the sad moment she decided to end her marriage – revealing it happened on her 37th birthday.
The Split actress wasfrom 2017 before revealing in 2023 that they’d split.
Now, she has revealed the sad moment she realised things were over.
“On my 37th birthday I was still in my first marriage and I just looked in the mirror and thought ‘oh this is not your life’ this cannot be, this isn’t right,” began Annabel on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum podcast.
She added: “And I went home that weekend and had the conversation.”
Annabel shares daughter Marnie with Ciarán, with the former couple welcoming the little one back in 2018.
Opening up about their split and how they navigated custody, Annabel explained she wanted it to be fair for them both.
She said: “I always thought, ‘Surely you’ll just split the childcare’, but no, the rights were particularly bad for the fathers and it made no sense to me to ever fight 50/50 – it would have been wrong.
“Obviously I want to have her all of the time, but it would be wrong for me to do that.”
Annabel got remarried in 2024 to her current partner, Jim Trayhurn , who isn’t in the public eye.
She rose to fame for starring in BBC supernatural drama Being Human and has since starred in numerous dramas across the small screen.
