Sophie recalled waking up to a ‘murder scene’ with ‘blood dripping everywhere’
So when the Geordie legend received a DM offering her a free BBL from a clinic in Turkey, she didn’t think twice.

“I remember looking in the mirror and my bum looked like it had been squashed. It was flat and it was black and blue.
“I had blood dripping everywhere. It was like a murder scene. It looked like someone came in and stabbed us.
“I couldn’t walk. I had bandages everywhere.”
But things were about to get a whole lot worse when six weeks later, while on a luxury trip to with an ex-partner, she suddenly started feeling seriously unwell.
Sophie recalled: “Then it progressed, and my left leg started getting shooting pains, and that was going right up to my back.
“My leg couldn’t move. It got to the point where my leg froze.

Terrified, Sophie was admitted to hospital, where doctors diagnosed an abscess. She immediately flew back to , was taken straight to A&E and rushed into emergency surgery.
She said: “I remember them saying, ‘We’ll have to slice your bum cheek open’. I was going, ‘Please, please don’t do that, please, please, I’m gonna be left with such a scar’, and they were like, ‘If we don’t do it, you’ll be dead.’
Not only did the surgeons drain an entire litre of puss from Sophie’s abscess, but for the next six months, she found herself in and out of the hospital.
The reality star added: “Every other day for six months I had to go to the hospital to get it packed. I remember when they took the pack out, you could see the insides of my body.

In 2016, former reality star , who first rose to fame on the seventh series of in 2006, spoke about her nightmare trip to the dentist, which left her with a wonky smile.
Appearing on an episode of Celebrity Botched Bodies, the 47-year-old sought help to repair her after being left in severe pain from a veneers procedure that saw them shaved down into short stubs.
She recalled: “The pain was excruciating. He tortured me. I felt like I was just a guinea pig for him.”
After six hours of surgery with the doctor, who had previously treated several of her celebrity friends, Aisleyne was left devastated by the results.
Recalling how her teeth were left pointing in different directions, she said: “I looked at my face, I didn’t recognise who I was.”
After going back several times to try and get her teeth fixed, Aisleyne developed an irrational fear of the dentist and was left feeling like she couldn’t smile.
“Since he damaged my teeth any event I go to, I do not open my mouth when I smile,” she admitted. “It’s made me really self conscious.”

From regular laser treatment for skin pigmentation to surgery on her lips and “medical-grade” facials, Olivia Attwood, 34, is no stranger to the odd tweakment – or two.
The former star, who came third in the show, previously described undergoing cosmetic procedures at a young age as a “dangerous road to nowhere”.
And she was talking from experience…
When she was 20-years-old, the Kiss FM presenter paid £3,000 for a boob job that gave her 32E “watermelons”.
Speaking about her decision to get her breasts enlarged at such a young age, she told The Times : “I was fixated and it was cheap and quick.
“These bloody boobs were so heavy. I was happy for a year, then I realised they didn’t look right for my frame.
“The weight of the implants started to stretch my skin and they got lower and lower. I started to think, ‘This isn’t what I signed up for at all.’”
In 2019, after Love Island, Olivia spent around £10,000 to have her implants removed, leaving her with a 32DD.
“There wasn’t actually anything like technically wrong with them, they were just ridiculously big. They were like I was like smuggling watermelons. It’s just so silly. I was young,” she said, speaking on Caroline Hiron’s podcast Glad We Had This Chat .

“It was really, like, young to do that. And I felt weird looking back on it. I feel sorry for my mum and my dad a little bit because I haven’t got kids yet, but I already feel the heart ache that I wouldn’t want my daughter that doesn’t exist yet to do that at such a young age.
“So, it’s weird. It’s when you get older, you start to see things differently. But yeah, they were just too big. And the weight of these implants, they just, oh my God, they were just vile. And one was under my armpit.”

The Geordie Shore alum, 30, has admitted to spending an estimated £50,000 on procedures since her 2015 debut on the hit show.
Her tweakments include multiple nose jobs, fillers, fox eye lift, and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), though she has recently undergone procedures to reverse some of her previous work.
But it was the latter, which has the highest death rate of all cosmetic surgeries, that left the reality TV favourite on death’s door.
Chloe first underwent the BBL procedure – which involves removing fat from other areas of the body and transferring it to the buttocks to create a fuller shape – in 2017.

However, she went under the knife to reverse the botched surgery last year after admitting that “mistakes” had left her struggling with .
“After my BBL reversal, my surgeon told me he had to leave a bit of fat in my bum,” she explained, speaking to Closer .
“The previous surgeons had injected fat into my muscle, and that’s what stops the blood getting through to the heart.
“He said he couldn’t risk tampering with it because I could have died.”

What imagined she’d look like after opting for a BBL, which involved fat being injected into her bum and hip area, was far from the reality.
Rather than achieving the Kim-K inspired enhanced bottom she’d hoped for, the Geordie Shore star told how her behind was left looking like a deflated water balloon.
The mum-of-one, who has since lost 3st to reverse the procedure naturally, appeared on the Should I Delete That podcast, where she revealed what led her to begin having cosmetic procedures.
Speaking to hosts Alex Light and Em Clarkson, she explained that she was earning good from the hit reality show and, at 21, had very few expenses – so she chose to spend it on cosmetic surgery instead.
“I was like, ‘I can try and look like a Kardashian, and life is going to be okay,’” she said. “Unfortunately, now I’m looking like a deflated water balloon because of everything but you live and learn.”
What are Brazilian Butt Lifts and why are they so popular?
Buttock enlargement surgery – known as a Brazilian butt-lift (BBL) – is used to make the bum look bigger, rounded and lifted.
Surgeons transfer fat, inject filler or insert silicone-filled implants.
It is the fastest growing cosmetic procedure but also one of the most dangerous, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
Many patients are travelling to the likes of Turkey or seeking out unregistered surgeons in the UK and are not given full information on the risks.
BBLs carry the highest risk of all cosmetic surgeries – with more than one death occurring per 4,000 procedures.
Due to celebrities undergoing such ops, many women are hoping to emulate their looks.
Consultant clinical psychologist Dr Anu Sayal-Bennett, a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, told the BBC : “Despite there being so much about body positivity, there are pressures for women – and men too – to look a certain way.”
Many people travel abroad for the procedure because it is cheaper and advertising is “terribly seductive”, combined with the idea of a beach holiday, added Dr Sayal-Bennett.
And the 33-year-old is still paying the price.
“Now, it’s going to be really hard for me to achieve that gym-body look,” she explained.
“I’m always going to have this abnormal, large backside if I ever gain weight, and this is actually the reason why I’m slimmer now than I ever have been; it’s because I’ve been working so hard to get rid of the BBL.
“If I put any weight on, it goes straight to my bum, so now I’m held by this imaginary crutch because I’m like ‘I can’t put weight on now because I can’t fit through doors.’
“I look silly.”
