A SOAP star has candidly revealed she fell pregnant in an affair with a 55-year-old married man when she was 19 – mirroring her most famous on-screen storyline.

The singer and actress, now 50, opened up about having an illicit affair with a much older married man when she was only 19.
Speaking on The Inherited podcast, Natalie said: “The hardest part was feeling deceitful because I’ve always felt like that’s not who I am as a person to the core.
“I just fell in love with a person who told me I was amazing and beautiful and talented and funny.”
In her memoir Love Like This, Natalie wrote how she fell pregnant during this affair, but tragically miscarried the baby.

Reacting to the bombshell revelation, fans drew similarities to a legendary Neighbours arc, which saw stalwart Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) kicking off their then scadalous affair.
Izzy subsequently fell pregnant by the doctor, resulting in daughter Holly Hoyland’s birth.
Commenting underneath a podcast snippet on , one person shared: “Not her living her storyline IRL.”
Another penned: “Wait, her affair with Karl Kennedy was real?”
A third joked: “Yeah his name was Karl Kennedy we all watched it happen.”
In October 2025, Natalie got engaged to girlfriend Pip Loth, having confirmed their romance two years earlier.
