In a recent Instagram post , she shared how she teaches her son about the labels of her weed gummies, for his own safety.
wrote: “Teaching my seven year old to always look for the 🍁symbol before eating gummies.
“We always keep our adult candies far up and locked away, but I have always been open with my kids about my 💨 and how many of ‘adult candies’ can look JUST like kid candies.
“We have always taught our kids what the symbol looks like that is on mommy and daddy’s candy, just to be extra safe.
“Safety surrounding 🍃 starts with honesty and education at home.
“I have never hid this from my kids, and I will always do everything to make sure they stay safe, and educated.”
Many followers were quick to comment, with one saying: “Love this. Best way to keep them safe.”
Another added: “Just an fyi this is a good idea regardless of if you partake or not!”
Caitlin says that she only smokes weed once her kids are in bed, and she uses it in place of antidepressants.
The mum claims it also helped her cut back on her drinking.
Caitlin has previously been honest about how she uses to help with her anxiety, the mum says her kids refer to it as “mommy’s little helper” on her “hard days”.
She goes as far as to argue that weed actually makes her a better parent to her son and daughter, but is careful to keep her marijuana habit out of her children’s reach.
Caitlin got pregnant with her high school sweetheart Noah when she was 18 years old and the married couple now share two children, Adriana and Jack.
She previously hit back at parents who criticise her decision to be so open about her use of .
Describing how she responds to those who critique her she wrote: “When I come back with ‘we’ll, do you hide your drinks from your kids? Your beer? Your glass of , your sangrias in the summer?’
“I often get a confused look and a ‘well, no.. why would i need hide that.’”
Better parents?
She says she wants to “raise awareness” of how can actually help women become better mums to their children.
Posting on Instagram, she previously said: “I have never been the most patient with my two kids.
“Weed makes me a better mom, as I get a good night’s sleep after I smoke. I wake up well rested, and with a more clear mind.”

In a Facebook post the mum-of-two revealed that she to give them a “mental health day.”
In her post, Caitlin wrote: “I could tell my six and eight-year-old desperately needed a day.
“A break from everyday life. A break from me saying ‘no!’ all the time.
“So I booked a lake house, emailed their , packed their suitcases, and off we headed for a couple days.”
Caitlin admitted that she bought her kids snacks that she would usually say no to and allowed them to play at dinner, as well as having no set bedtimes.
The mum argues that giving her kids some freedom means that they’re more likely to cooperate.
She added: “Tomorrow we will return home, and they will return to school. A lot more refreshed, a lot more calm, and a lot happier.”
She finished: “Giving my kids a mental health day, and just giving them a break in general, will become a tradition I hope to carry on for years to come.”
