TWO Sky Sports interns were reportedly removed from the office after they were spotted cheering on screen.
In footage that went viral on X, the pair can be seen jumping up and down hugging each other on Sky Sports 24 – Italy’s equivalent of Sky Sports News.

It came after scored a 93rd minute winner away to Hellas Verona on Sunday to snatch a 2-1 win.
The presenter was providing updates, and all of a sudden news leaked that Inter had found a winning goal.

Two fans in the Sky Italia studio were unable to contain their emotions when it happened, and viewers caught on.

The top comment read: “They are interns surely this isn’t a big deal, reprimand them sure but firing them seems over the top.”
Another user put: “It’s sky… Not some moral company.”
A third wrote: “Even if they weren’t interns, what’s wrong about celebrating a goal/win?”
Most fans seemed to be in agreement, with another adding: “Games gone, cant even celebrate anymore smh.”
News that they were sent home was broken by Italian Journalist Francesco Ordine.
It was reported that : “Director of Sky Sport, Federico Ferri, intervened promptly by sending the two ultra interns home and signing a very tough internal circular on the extremely delicate matter.”
Ferri also allegedly wrote a letter, and an extract was shared by Italian outlet .
It read: “Dear colleagues, today the editorial staff was the protagonist of a scene unworthy of our profession and of the prestige and seriousness that distinguish and should distinguish Sky Sport.
“Celebrating a goal by any team, whatever it is, in any match, and putting on bar-room or stadium-style antics (unfortunately, this also applies to the press boxes, but that’s another matter) is always unacceptable, especially if the scene ends up on air.”
Inter are next in action tomorrow night at home to FC Kairat of Kazakhstan.
A win would extend their 100 per cent record so far in the Champions League, which would put them in a healthy position to qualify for the knockout phase for a fifth successive season.
