SKY SPORTS have agreed a staggering £1BILLION deal to retain Formula One broadcasting rights.
The company announced their mammoth new contract runs all the way until the end of the 2034 season.

Sky’s previous deal to broadcast in the UK and Ireland was set to expire in 2029.
But the five-year extension works out as worth £200million per year – totalling £1bn – and takes in F2, F3, the F1 Academy and Porsche Supercup.
That is a massive increase of £61m per year from £129m under the previous deal.
It is understood fended off interest from streaming platforms to maintain the rights – with Apple TV broadcasting in the USA and the Canadian Grand Prix on Netflix this month.
Highlights from every race and live coverage of the British Grand Prix will remain on free-to-air terrestrial TV.

The first season of Netflix’s docu-series Drive To Survive launched in March of that year and sparked a revival.
Viewership is up 90 per cent overall including 120 per cent among the under-35s generation.
And there are now double the number of females watching F1 compared to pre-Drive To Survive days.
Sky have also extended their F1 deal in Italy until 2032, boosted by the excitement around the country’s .
