Levy was previously charged with the murder of 39-year-old Sheryl Wilkins, who was discovered unresponsive in Tottenham, North , on August 24.
Police were called on Monday, March 17, to reports of an unresponsive woman at a property on the Aylesbury Estate.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services Carmenza was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, her cause of death remains a mystery.
Levy was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident on April 1.
He was released under investigation while enquiries continued, including additional tests which remain ongoing to determine a cause of death.
Levy was later re-arrested in connection with Carmenza’s death and also for the murder of Sheryl Wilkins, 39, who died on Sunday, 24 August on High Road, Tottenham.
Levy was charged with Sheryl’s murder on Sunday, September 7 before being additionally charged with two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm, and intentional suffocation in relation to that.
All three cases are now being treated as part of a single, joined investigation. A trial date has been set for June 2026 at the Old Bailey.
Commander Clair Kelland, who leads the Met’s Public Protection Team, said:“As the lead for public protection at the Met, one of our main priorities is to better protect women and girls.
“The investigation into Simon Levy is one of great complexity. We are working closely with partners across relevant boroughs, including Haringey and Southwark, to encourage reporting and raise awareness of the support we can provide to victim-survivors.
“Whether you are a victim-survivor, or someone with information, we urge you to come forward and speak to us.”
