Former Nigeria internationals, Samson Siasia and Daniel Amokachi are among the coaches who have applied for the vacant U-23 Eagles position.

The position was last held by former assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf.

Siasia previously had two spells in charge of the U-23 Eagles.

The former striker guided the team to second position in the football event of the 2008 Olympics held in Beijing, China.

The 58-year-old also led the team to finish as bronze medalists at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Amokachi,53, has also handled the U-23 Eagles in the past.
