Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is expected to be sidelined for around 15 to 20 days as a result of injury, DAILY POST reports.

Dele-Bashiru sustained the injury during Lazio’s Serie A clash against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on August 24.

The Nigeria international was replaced by Davide Frattesi in the 54th minute of the encounter

According to gazzetta.it, the midfielder suffered first-degree flexor strains in the game.

Dele-Bashiru will miss Lazio’s next three league matches against Genoa, Udinese, and Milan.

The 25-year-old is expected to return to action against Venezia on September 19.

The injury could force the former Sheffield star to miss Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau next month.
