The cast of “The First Night with the Duke”; has shared their final thoughts ahead of tonight’s finale!
“The First Night with the Duke”; is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’sSeohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’sTaecyeon).
Ahead of the finale, the cast members shared their final goodbyes, thanking viewers for tuning in to the show.
Seohyun expressed, “While playing Sun Chaek, I learned new emotions and perspectives through her wounds, pain, and love. It was a valuable experience that made me reflect on myself.”; She continued, “I believe everyone is the main character of their own life. Like Cha Sun Chaek, even if we go through countless trials and errors, we’ll eventually realize we’ve always been the protagonist. Thank you for sharing a precious part of your lives with this drama. I will always root for your lives.”;
Taecyeon shared, “We started filming last fall and continued through the cold winter. I’m grateful to the director, writer, all the production staff, crew members, and my fellow senior and junior actors for their hard work. I was happy to be part of it.”; He added, “I’m glad I could show a slightly more mature side of myself as an actor. Thanks to all the love you’ve given me, I’ll work hard to show an even better, more improved version of myself in my next project.”;
Kwon Han Sol also shared her gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful that our drama, which we filmed with so much happiness and joy, was able to be completed thanks to viewers’ love.”; She added, “I pray everyone lives beautifully as the main character of their own life. I will be happily rooting for you. I will continue to grow so I can meet you again with an even better version of myself.”;
Seo Bum June expressed his bittersweet feelings, saying, “I met the character Jung Soo Gyeom in the cold winter, and now I’m saying goodbye in the hot summer.”; Reflecting on the drama’s message, he said, “It was the courage to never give up that allowed us to grow. Like the characters in the drama, I hope we all continue to write our own happy stories without giving up on anything.”;
Lastly, Chi Hae Won said, “Throughout filming and even now as the drama airs, I’ve been so grateful to have met such a delightful drama and the character Do Hwa Seon. Thanks to the viewers who have enjoyed our drama every Wednesday and Thursday, I’ve been spending these days feeling happy. Please continue to watch and enjoy it until the end.”;
