The Regional Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations in Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, stated that Nigeria’s security system, particularly in the northern region, has been compromised due to the integration of repentant Boko Haram members.
Rev. Dachomo expressed this viewpoint on Monday during an interview on The Morning Brief, a program on Channels Television that was monitored by DAILY POST.
The cleric was addressing the ongoing insecurity and the alleged genocide against Christians in Nigeria, especially in the northern areas of the country.
“The security has been tainted by the inclusion of repentant Boko Haram members, who are providing assistance and sharing information. They remain connected with their associates in the bush,” he said.
“The Federal Government must take appropriate actions. It should never detain anyone who harms cattle using chemicals.”
“To prevent issues, we will begin applying chemicals to our lands, and if their cattle perish, we are prepared to defend ourselves. This situation is different from before. Let me tell you, if the Nigerian Army is withdrawn, peace will follow,” he added.
