Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, stated that security is a collective responsibility.
Obasa made this statement during a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on Saturday in Lagos.
In a statement provided to DAILY POST, Obasa emphasized that everyone should be concerned about the safety of their own surroundings.
He recognized that Nigeria is currently facing significant security challenges but highlighted the necessity for everyone to participate in combating insecurity across the nation.
The Speaker expressed confidence that with the backing of all Nigerians, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is capable of addressing the security issues confronting the country.
He remarked, “We have witnessed the president in action, innovating and striving to resolve our numerous challenges, particularly insecurity, and we believe he will succeed in this endeavor.
“He remains the individual who can achieve this. That is why we must do everything within our power to ensure that he is re-elected in 2027.
“This is a collective effort. We all need to engage in combating this issue.
“We must provide the President with all the support we can so that he can succeed in redirecting the course of Nigeria.”
