A SECOND man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was allegedly stabbed to death in the street.
Alisha Samuels, 26, was found with fatal stab wounds in Manchester on Thursday, with tributes pouring in for the “beautiful soul”.
Cops were called at around 2am after locals reported hearing “screaming and shouting” outside their .
Onlookers reported seeing a car then smash violently into a van as a man was hauled out of the vehicle.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder is no longer being treated as a susepct.
Cops have now arrested a man, 26, in Merseyside on suspicion of murder.
Officers also arrested a 61-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Justin Bryant said: “We are still seeking information for Alisha’s heartbreaking death, and a number of our teams are dedicated to locate those we believe were involved.
“We have another man in custody, but our investigation is not over. We are working tirelessly to establish the full circumstances of this attack, and to provide Alisha’s family with some answers.
“My thoughts remain with them as they navigate this tremendous loss.
“I’d like to thank those that have contacted us and supported our investigation thus far, your reports are always taken seriously and prove vital to our work.
“I urge others who may have information, no matter how small, to please come forward.”
Devastated friends have shared touching words and photos of the 26-year-old online.
Close friend Aimee Quinn wrote on Facebook: “How is this real life? How am I going to live without speaking to you every day with all of my problems?
“I can’t believe I’m never going to hear your daft one liners or belly laugh with you again, no more and all the plans we had to travel the world together.
“You were more of a sister to me than a friend, a good listener and beautiful inside and out.
“I love you forever and a day my gorgeous girl.”
Another friend wrote: “Oh Alisha, from the minute I met you, I knew you were special.
“I loved you from the start. You were one of the kindest, funniest people I’ve ever met and I’ll always be grateful I got to know you.”
Friend Carris Mallon wrote: “My precious girl, I don’t know what I’m ever going to do without you.
“I adore you and I count my lucky stars I got you all to myself for so long.
“Best friends till death do us part.”
Resident Keith Steel, 67, said his wife had been woken to the screams in the early hours.
“It’s terrible what’s happened,” he said.
Laying flowers at the scene, one woman said her daughter had attended the same school as Alisha.
“It’s such tragic ,” said Donna.
“I’ve got a lot of happy memories of Alisha and my daughter chatting at our house.
“She had a smile that would light up every room.
“She was beautiful and clever and she and my daughter were so funny together.”
The force said her family had requested while dealing with the “devastating loss of their loved one”.
