SARA Sharif’s killer dad was allegedly throttled then slashed with a tin lid by two lags who left him “bloodied” on the ground, a court heard.

Urfan Sharif, 43, was said to have been attacked at HMP Belmarsh, South London, on New Year’s Day last year.

Two inmates, Steven Sansom, 47, and Adam Watson, 39, have been charged with attempted murder.

Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told Sharif was targeted in a “planned and co-ordinated attack”.

Prosecutor Jack Wadsworth said the killer dad was invited into Sansom’s cell where Watson was waiting.

The court heard Watson allegedly “took hold of him and punched him repeatedly”.

Sansom is then said to have grabbed Sharif by the neck and “applied sustained pressure to his throat”.

Prosecutors claim Watson then passed an “unidentified object to Sansom” which he allegedly used to “make repeated cutting motions towards Sharif’s throat”.

The court heard officers entered the cell and found Sharif “bloodied and distressed” on the floor, with injuries to his face, mouth and neck.

Both Sansom is further charged with unauthorised possession of an offensive weapon – a tin lid bent to make a weapon, according to the charge sheet.

The two men, who appeared separately by video link from HMP Wakefield, are serving prisoners, the court heard.

They were both remanded into custody to next appear the Old Bailey on September 23.

Tragic Sara was hooded, burned and bitten by Urfan Sharif and her stepmum Beinash Batool as they dished out sadistic “punishments”.

She was found bludgeoned to death with at least 71 internal injuries at home in Woking, , on August 10 2023.

Sharif, 42, his wife Batool, 30, and brother Faisal Malik, 29, were at the centre of a global manhunt after fleeing the UK after her death.

Once he landed in Pakistan, the evil dad called police to confess his daughter was dead after he beat her up “too much”.

Sharif wept as he and Batool were jailed for life with a minimum of 40 years and 33 years after being convicted of murder.

Sara’s uncle Malik was also jailed for 16 years after being cleared of murder but found guilty of causing or allowing her death.

It later emerged authorities missed at least 15 opportunities to save Sara before her brutal death.
