AFTER months of teases Samsung has finally revealed its new mega mobile that folds two times.

The Galaxy Z TriFold opens up to form a mighty 10-inch display, performing like three everyday 6.5-inch smartphones side-by-side.

Such a device has been – and will be available to buy in some parts of the world as soon as next week.

Samsung joins the triple display foldable race after several years in the business with single fold devices, the Galaxy Z Fold and .

The South Korean tech giant says the TriFold unlocks a “pocket-sized, cinematic viewing experience” with “multi-window productivity” for those who want to work from it too.

It also claims to feature the “most advanced hinges yet” to withstand frequenting folding and unfolding.

And it measures only 3.9mm at its thinnest point.

But one key detail has not been shared yet – price.

If it’s anything like the Galaxy Z Fold the device won’t come cheap.

In Korea, it’s reported to start at RW 3,594,000, which is about £1,861 / $2,450.

It’s also not clear when the smartphone will be available in the UK yet.

So far, Samsung has only said the Galaxy Z TriFold will come to Korea on December 12, followed by other markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE and the US.

Other standout features announced by the firm include the battery, which is the biggest battery Samsung has ever had in a foldable phone.

It has a 5,600 mAh three-cell battery system – for context, the average for a smartphone is between 3,000 to 5,000.

The phone also has a 200-megapixel camera, which matches up to the .

It’s also the first mobile to have standalone Samsung DeX which allows users to turn their mobile in a computer-like system.

Normally, you would need to plug in a Samsung phone into an external display to take advantage of this but due to the TriFold’s size you can simply use the mobile’s own display.

“Samsung’s relentless pursuit of new possibilities continues to shape the future of mobile experiences,” said Samsung chief TM Roh.

“Through years of innovation in foldable form factors, Galaxy Z TriFold solves one of the mobile industry’s longest-standing challenges – delivering the perfect balance between portability, premium performance and productivity all in one device.

“Galaxy Z TriFold now expands the boundaries of what’s possible for mobile work, creativity and connection.”
