EUROPE only retained their Ryder Cup crown on Sunday, but attention has already turned to the next edition of one of golf’s signature events.
Having won on home soil in Italy two years ago, ‘s side went to Bethpage Black .

It is the first time since 2012 that Team Europe has won on away soil, and they will now plan to keep the for a third straight time in 2027.
USA last won in Europe in 1993 at The Belfry in Warwickshire and will have to conquer Ireland if they are to get their hands on the silverware next time.
The for the centenary year of the Ryder Cup, which was first played in Massachusetts, 1927.
This will be the second time that Ireland has hosted the Ryder Cup and is a first for Adare Manor.
It was last held at The K Club in Kildare in 2006 but Adare Manor ends that two-decade wait having staged the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008.
It was also the setting for the JP McManus Pro-Am in 2005, 2010, and 2022.
The Adare Manor course was added in 1995 and got a redesign in 2016 to ramp it up to championship-level specifications.
The Manor says: “[It has] the very latest in course technology and construction methods, The Golf Course at Adare Manor offers a spectacular golfing experience amid the breath-taking surroundings of our parkland estate.
“Planted throughout with mature trees, gorgeously landscaped, and bounded by the peaceful waters of the River Maigue, the course offers ever-changing vistas and breath-taking approaches to each hole.

“Every bit as strategic as it is scenic, this is a course which demands precision but rewards risk and courage.
“Whether you are new to the game or a passionate lifelong devotee, golfers of every level will encounter something to inspire, challenge, and improve their game every time they play through.
“Legendary golf architect Tom Fazio has created a golf course which thoughtfully explores the true character of the terrain, revealing new levels of discovery at every turn.”
The Manor, which is almost 200 years old, has changed hands many times in its long history, winning recent awards for being Ireland’s ‘Leading Hotel’ from 2010-2012.
It was voted as ‘The World’s Leading Boutique Golf Resort’ in 2012 and includes a Michelin star restaurant.
The ‘Calendar House’ includes 365 windows, 52 chimneys, seven stone pillars, and four towers to mark days, weeks, and seasons to a year.
It includes a 132-foot long gallery with 26 foot high ceilings. On the site is a pet cemetery with memorials to animals belonging to previous inhabitants, the Dunravens.
Adare Manor was initially set to host the Ryder Cup in 2020 but that was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will finally get its chance from September 17-19 in just under two years.

In the meantime, anyone looking to stay at the Manor for two nights, playing on the course, will have to fork out between £3,200 and £13,300 on pre-bookings for next June.
There are a variety of different suites available which include breakfast but not mandatory caddie hire.
Those who do go along may well recognise the Manor from its use in 1977 comedy The Last Remake of Beau Geste. It was also used as the judges house for Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh on The X Factor in 2010.
Fortunately, despite all the Ryder Cup preparations which will be needed over the coming 24 months, the course will reopen in 2026 from May 26 until October 18 before closing for the winter.
The course claims to have been “transformed into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations.”
Chiefs added: “The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue.
“Each hole of The Golf Course at Adare Manor could be crowned the feature hole: each one has been entirely redesigned and reconstructed, with the very latest technology and course innovations, creating a challenging, characterful, and profoundly satisfying playing experience for golfers of every level.
“The final result is a course that is at once strategic and soulful, playable in all conditions, and future-proofed in preparation for premiere amateur and professional golf events.
“Cared for by an experienced, passionate team of devoted greenkeepers, the condition of this course and its velvet-smooth Pure Distinction bent grass greens is unrivalled.”
